Ultracapacitors open up completely new fields of application. The enormous capacity of individual cells of up to 3000F enables large modules, so that e.g. Trams can drive large distances without overhead line. They save the energy gained during braking (recuperation) and thus contribute significantly to the CO2 reduction.
